BASES 9th INTERNATIONAL PRIZE OF CONTEMPORARY CERAMICS ARAGON´2009

01. Every participant, individual or collective, authors from any country, will be able to show maximum of three pieces of artworks.

02. The presented pieces of artworks won’t be able to have been rewarded in other competitions and will be have a ceramic concept. The dimensions can’t exceed of 2 m. in their longer side neither 1m3 of total volume, nor of a superior weight to 50 kg in its parts

03. The registration forms, they will have to be sent to the following address, before March 9th:

These registration forms will have to be enclosed of:
-Technical characteristics of the artwork
-Updated curriculum of the artist ceramics.
-Enough images for the understanding of the artwork
. The images can be presented in photographic paper support, digital support (CD or mail, in jpg. format 300 dpi. resolution and size 15 x 20 or slide support (format of 24 x 36 mm. and framework of 5 x 5 cm.).
-Necessary instructions and elements for the assembly of the artwork if it´s necessary.
-Short technical explanation, up to ten words.

04. Between the presented application forms, the Selection Committee will choose the finalists, from the sent documentation. Their decision will be notified immediately to all the participants. Nevertheless, it saves itself the right of exclusion of some work that does not correspond faithfully with the sent images.

05. All the documentation that encloses to the registration forms, they will pass to take part of the CERCO´S file.

06. The jury will be composed by qualified and recognized personalities in arts in general. Their verdict will be unappealable.

07. The selected artworks will have to be sent, before April 3rd.

08. The selected and rewarded artworks will be showed in the exhibition room “Enrique Cook” of the Taller Escuela Cerámica de Muel and in the exhibition rooms of the Museo of Teruel, and everything will represent in the general catalogue it will be published with motive of CERCO.

09. The organizers will communicate the verdict of the jury, as the same time of the opening of the exposition of the selected and awarded artworks.

10. The cost of move of sending will be paid by the artist ceramics. The selected artworks will be returned, when the expositions are finished, to their artist ceramics, by the same way and packing that they were sent. The cost of move of sending back, after their exposition, will be paid by the artist ceramic.

The artworks will have to be sent in box of wood, perfectly immobilized and isolated, and the screwed lid. If the packing aren’t suitable, the organizers won’t expose the above-mentioned works and will return then to their authors to due freightages.
All artwork that arrives damages to the competition it won´t be exposed.

11. The prizes that will be given between the works selected are:

1st prize awarded with 6,000 EUROS and one second prize of 4,000 EUROS.

The prizes will be subject to the fiscal rules to correspond, according to the actual legislation in the moment of their delivery.

12. The rewarded works will become possession of the organizers.

13. The organizers will insure the artworks, after checking their state, from the reception until to their leaving.

14. The participants only so as to participate will accept the rules of this competition. The Jury will solve any circumstance, not anticipated in these bases.
